Wanted to wish all you peeps a Merry Christmas. I will be posting new stuff after the holidays. I have a ton of stuff. Much of it still needs to be scanned. But I will be back soon.
Devious Journal Entry
So a quick entry to all the peeps who watch me. If you are having a problem with your art, where you look at it and just aren't happy. That annoying feeling that something just isnt right. I know I should be doing better than this. Well here's an article written by ~IzzyMedrano (https://www.deviantart.com/izzymedrano) that will help.
Read the whole article. Twice. I really recommend that in all sincerity. There is a mountain of information packed in that article, some of which may give you the "ah hah" moment it gave me. So check it out!
Finally Got the Ol' Scanner Back Up

But alas, I was just using the wrong damn program to try to connect the scanner to my computer. My forehead can't deflect face palm's of the that magnitude. But at least I got some nice stuff to upload.
One thing I still find is that my real pencil work always comes out 100% better than my digital pencil work. Maybe that would change with a cyntiq, but I'm not about to drop the $$$ to find out (especially since there is a good chance it wont make
Merry Chrismahaunakwanzakah!
Hope all you awesome peeps out there had a great holiday!
Creativity
I was listening to some TED talks about creativity and they were really inspiring to me. I think they cleared up some confusion about creativity. There is a guy who talks about how small children are more creative and lose that creativity as they become adults. This is because of a developed fear of being wrong. Another author (Eat Pray Love) pointed out that to be truly creative you don't have to be fearless, you just have to acknowledge that fear is along for the ride as she puts it. It really points to what I have known for some time about art. Something an art teacher told me. To improve in art you have to be willing to let go. Le
