Oh, I don't know this character, still looks very good. For a moment she reminded me of Cybersix... but looks nothing alike

Definitely a great set up for colors, bro. I can tell you were thinking of how to detail it by the way you inked her. Great Power Girl, classic stance. You did good with the composition.

Only thing is you cut the top of her head off. To bad.;)

I know, ARRGH! Well, it's Powergirl, who's looking at the top of her head? ;) That always seems to happen to me when I use printer paper. Either the top of the head or the feet get chopped off. At least it wasn't on binder paper. I used to have this curse where my best work was always on binder paper in spiral notebooks.

Yeah, I was thinking the classic Superman/Girl/Powergirl on a building over looking the Daily Bugle. I also considered doing a End of Days kind of destroyed city, but I thought better of it.

Well, it's the thought that counts. It's amazing how distracting the cut off can be! Even when we are not staring at her head.;)
One more bit of advice I noticed when looking threw your recent deviations, Watch your shoulder anatomy. The deltoid is well done, so are the individual parts connecting to it like the lats and the pecs. You just need to weave them together properly. Right now the kinda look detached. Just a thought for next time.:)

Same kinda pose. I think that's why you thought Cybersix. All I know about Powergirl is that she is Kryptonian, like a cousin to Superman. She has all the same powers, but she's more powerful than Supergirl cause she's older, I think. I just like the charater design. Never liked the fact that Supergirl knows she is gonna be flying around, but decided to wear a skirt. I mean c'mon, what woman would do that?

I see what you mean now that I look back at them. The arm and deltoid are too far away from the body. I'll keep an eye on that, thanks for pointing that out. I get caught up in the hips usually, trying to make them strong and still graceful which is really tough some times.

It really helps to construct some form of loose skeleton and build from there. That way you don't feel bad erasing, cause it's only quick lines.:)

That's exactly what I do. I have taken a couple years of formal figure drawing. I was taught by a guy who studied in Venice, the lucky bastard. I draw a stick figure skeletal system, including the rib cage(very important) and if there is some confusing foreshortening I use the cylindrical system to flesh it out.

I use pentel non photo blue pencil leads for a .7 mechanical pencil. Then i draw the pencil lines directly over those. When you scan it the blue doesn't show up. It will if you set the thresholds wrong, but I scan it at black and white only. One of these days I'll make a light box and I wont need to do it that way, but till then...

Yeah, it's either flying properly dressed, or fully naked. No middle terms.
